Leg einen Finger auf die linke Bildschirmhälfte und zieh ihn in die gewünschte Richtung. Dort erscheint ein Joystick.

Rechts erscheinen Aktions-Buttons, sobald eine Aktion möglich ist: Sammeln bei Bäumen, Felsen und Büschen, Trinken am Ufer, Essen, wenn du Nahrung dabeihast, Angreifen in der Nähe von Tieren und Durchsuchen am Flugzeugwrack. Ausweichen, Schleichen und Sitzen sind immer da.

Das Rucksack-Symbol oben rechts öffnet Inventar, Herstellen, Bauen und Fähigkeiten. Die Pause oben links zeigt die Inselkarte mit dem Wrack, deinen Bauten und den Orten, an denen Überlebende gestorben sind.

Der Tod ist endgültig. Ein toter Überlebender kommt nicht zurück, und es gibt keinen älteren Spielstand zum Zurückladen. Das ist Absicht.

Nach dem Rückblick auf deinen Tod wacht der nächste Überlebende auf derselben Insel auf. Deine Bauten und der Inhalt der Truhe bleiben erhalten. Wo du gestorben bist, liegt ein Grab mit deinem Gepäck. Die Karte im Pause-Menü zeigt, wo es ist.

Tipp: Was in einer Truhe liegt, überlebt deinen Tod.

• Durst ist am gefährlichsten. Geh ans Ufer und trink.
• Kokosnüsse von Palmen stillen den ersten Hunger.
• Durchsuche das Flugzeugwrack. Das geht nur ein paar Mal pro Insel.
• Bau ein Lagerfeuer, um Fleisch zu braten.
• Wildschweine greifen an. Weich aus oder kämpf mit einer Waffe.
• Bleib nicht zu lange im Wasser. Dort sind Haie.

Ja, automatisch: spätestens jede Minute, wenige Sekunden nach dem Sammeln, Herstellen oder Bauen, beim Pausieren, beim Tod und wenn du die App verlässt. Es gibt einen Spielstand pro Gerät. Die App hält zusätzlich eine Sicherungskopie des vorigen Stands.

Das kann nach einem Absturz des Geräts oder bei vollem Speicher passieren. Castout lädt dann automatisch die Sicherungskopie. Ist auch sie nicht lesbar, beginnt eine neue Insel, und die beschädigte Datei bleibt als Kopie auf dem Gerät. Schreib uns in diesem Fall an hello@voidra.games.

Meldet die App, dass der Spielstand aus einer neueren Version stammt, aktualisiere Castout im App Store. Bis dahin speichert die App nichts, damit dein Spielstand unverändert bleibt.

Neue Insel: Hauptmenü, "Neues Spiel", dann "Neue Welt" bestätigen. Die aktuelle Insel und dein Fortschritt werden ersetzt. Deine Einstellungen (Spieloptionen, Sprache), die Liste früherer Überlebender, deine Bestwerte und die Chronik der alten Insel als Text unter "Frühere Inseln" bleiben.

Alles löschen: In der App unter Einstellungen "Alle Daten löschen" wählen und bestätigen. Damit sind Spielstand, Sicherungskopien, alle Einstellungen (Spieloptionen, gesehene Tipps, Sprache), die Überlebenden-Liste, deine Bestwerte, die früheren Inseln, die Standbilder der Tode und die zwischengespeicherten Inselbilder weg, und die App startet wie beim ersten Mal. Dasselbe passiert, wenn du die App löschst: App auf dem Home-Bildschirm gedrückt halten, "App entfernen" und dann "App löschen" wählen.

Beides lässt sich nicht rückgängig machen.

Ja, über ein iCloud- oder Computer-Backup deines Geräts. Richtest du das neue Gerät aus dem Backup ein, kommt der Spielstand mit. Eine Cloud-Synchronisierung im Spiel gibt es nicht.

Deutsch, Englisch, Türkisch, Spanisch, Französisch, Italienisch und Portugiesisch. Die Sprache wechselst du über das Sprachmenü im Hauptmenü oder im Pause-Menü.

Put a finger on the left half of the screen and drag it in the direction you want to go. A joystick appears there.

Action buttons on the right appear as soon as an action is possible: gather near trees, rocks and bushes, drink at the shore, eat when you carry food, attack near animals and search at the plane wreck. Dodge, sneak and sit are always there.

The backpack button (top right) opens inventory, crafting, building and skills. Pause (top left) shows the island map with the wreck, your buildings and the places where survivors died.

Death is permanent. A dead survivor does not come back, and there is no older save to reload. That is by design.

After the recap of your death, the next survivor wakes up on the same island. Your buildings and the contents of your chest stay. Where you died, there is a grave with your pack. The map in the pause menu shows where it is.

Tip: Whatever is in a chest survives your death.

• Thirst is the biggest danger. Go to the shore and drink.
• Coconuts from palm trees deal with your first hunger.
• Search the plane wreck. You can only do that a few times per island.
• Build a campfire to cook meat.
• Wild boars attack. Dodge them or fight with a weapon.
• Don't stay in the water too long. Sharks are waiting.

Yes, automatically: at least once a minute, a few seconds after gathering, crafting or building, when you pause, when you die and when you leave the app. There is one save game per device. The app also keeps a backup copy of the previous state.

This can happen after a device crash or when storage is full. Castout then loads the backup copy automatically. If that cannot be read either, a new island starts and the damaged file stays on your device as a copy. In that case, please email hello@voidra.games.

If the app says the save game comes from a newer version, update Castout in the App Store. Until then the app saves nothing, so your save game stays unchanged.

New island: main menu, "New Game", then confirm "New World". Your current island and progress are replaced. Your settings (game options, language), the list of earlier survivors, your personal records and the old island's chronicle as text under "Earlier islands" stay.

Delete everything: in the app, go to Settings, choose "Delete all data" and confirm. This removes the save game, its backup copies, all settings (game options, seen tips, language), the survivor list, your personal records, the earlier islands, the still images of deaths and the cached island images, and the app starts as it did the first time. Deleting the app does the same: touch and hold the app on the Home Screen, choose "Remove App", then "Delete App".

Neither can be undone.

Yes, through an iCloud or computer backup of your device. If you set up the new device from that backup, your save game comes with it. There is no in-game cloud sync.
